Elevator Man
Interviewed in
the mid-70’s
for the local newspaper,
stated that he
ran the elevator
for thirty years
since 1943
he said he would
never retire
Elevator man
kept his promise
as the building
changed through
the years and
was remodeled,
its interior
gutted and
repurposed
kept his promise
after they put him
in the ground
from the
stomach cancer
and the amount
of cars that
rolled by the
cemetery increased
in number
the concrete
expanding in
all directions
When the guests
complained about
the elevators
on trip advisor
and the building
was building
a reputation for
“bad vibes”
Elevator man
was just doing his
job, he had
an excellent
record for
public safety
& knew better
than them
which floor
they needed
