A little more bite and a little less bark

Elvis Presley Haunts Graceland but not in the way that you might think. I see him in the kitchen binging on fried food, potato chips, and chocolate cake all washed down with full bodied beer while watching Hawaii five-O. He throws one of his dogs a Twinkie while his fans walk through the jungle room. Basset hounds are always hungry. That’s what makes them loyal. Ghost Elvis and his ghost dog walk around and squirt tourists with a water gun. Visitors can’t believe how hot the Memphis climate is and wipe their foreheads with the back of their shirts.

Elevator Man

Interviewed in
the mid-70’s
for the local newspaper,
stated that he
ran the elevator
for thirty years
since 1943
he said he would
never retire

Elevator man
kept his promise
as the building
changed through
the years and
was remodeled,
its interior
gutted and
repurposed

kept his promise
after they put him
in the ground
from the
stomach cancer
and the amount
of cars that
rolled by the
cemetery increased
in number
the concrete
expanding in
all directions

When the guests
complained about
the elevators
on trip advisor
and the building
was building
a reputation for
“bad vibes”

Elevator man
was just doing his
job, he had
an excellent
record for
public safety
& knew better
than them
which floor
they needed
