fuck 2020 – Cajun Mutt Press

This is the time of year most of us stop and take stock of our lives. Start new things, give things up, make resolutions. Some of us tell ourselves we’re going to do things that we never end up doing anything about…except beating ourself up about it all year until next January first. For others it’s just an excuse to party and have fun.

It’s a little combonation of all when it comes to me. I’ve changed some things I said I would over the years, still working on a few other goals, and when I party I fucking party, but the new year is all about change when you step back and look at it. 2020 fucking sucked in a lot of ways, no doubt about it, but it’s over now. This is our chance to turn a new leaf, then roll it up and pass it around so even if things don’t get better at least we’ll all be stoned.

Well, y’all know what time it is, below you’ll find this month’s featured writers. I’m also always open for submissions so if you’d like to send some work shoot 1-3 poems to cajunmuttpress@gmail.com along with a bio and author photo. Currently reading for April. Also, I am NOT taking manuscripts at this time. The 2021 book schedule isn’t final yet, but I have plenty of manuscripts. I fully appreciate your interest, but please, stop sending them for now. I’ll make an announcement when I’m taking them again.
