Obstructing, denouncing, dying, impoverished or evil?
Hiding oneself and suffering.

The Moon?
Brilliant and illuminating …
raise one’s clear and unequivocal voice.

Vacuous, fraudulent or devoid of sense?
A coffin.

The optimal potential in each emerging moment?
Only light …
it really is extraordinary, sublime and mindful.

Secrecy, mystery and being obstruse?
A shadow –
an echo for the purpose of
reaching and extending evil …
places turbulent, drastic and irritating.

Growing, beginning, preparing or causing
genuine emotion, love and reason?
Affecting, responsive, perceptive and grateful –
institutions to love deeply and rely upon …
bewitching, infatuating and charming.

We really compete to invite or to ask thou
to become immersed in existence and living.

The Moon?
Real.

The universe?
Glory and honour –
moderate, apt, successful and heartfelt –
approaching existence and living.

The Moon?
Certainly various aspects braiding, knitting or weaving thou.

The target?
The wizardry known as “worthy creativity.”

Douglas Colston has played in Ska bands, picked up university degrees, supported his parents during terminal illnesses, experienced chronic mental and physical illnesses consequential to workplace harassment, married his love, transitioned into Counselling as a vocation, fathered two great children, and had his inheritance embezzled. Now, among other things, he is pursuing a PhD.

Meditātiōnēs ēvellentia mala
Contemplations of, preparations for and exercises in excising, erasing and eradicating calamities, punishments, miseries, wrong-doing and bad words

Some wonder
how best to deal
with malevolent thoughts, actions or influences.

The solution
is present
in the manner in which they grow and multiply.

Like any contagion,
villainy is sustained and multiplies
only as a consequence of being supplied with copious energy
(in the form of one sacrifice or another)
or by being tolerated
(whether wilfully or mindlessly).

Its eradication
is secured
through starvation or direct annihilation –
and it can be done lovingly
and should be done so …
no matter how much the putrescence complains.

The strung-out junkie hustle, anomie and bonhomie

Strung-out junkie hustles come in all manner of forms
and they need not necessarily involve users of illicit drugs –
pathological fanaticism
(even concerning ‘conflict’, ‘money’ or ‘power’)
is known to serve as a proxy for narcotics and the like.

Running a con,
too,
need not involve finances,
but deception will be at the heart of the matter.

Anomie –
alienation or social instability
caused by the erosion of standards and values –
is a typical outcome …
and no participant
(whether perpetrator, victim or third-party observer)
escapes unscathed.

In all likelihood,
such processes have been observed
by philosophers and lay-people alike
since prehistory
and some,
like Nasreddin,
have written about it
to forewarn future generations.

It is not fun
and on balance,
it is likely not fruitful
if all relevant factors are considered –
there are much more worthy pursuits
for one’s efforts …
bonhomie
(an atmosphere of friendliness and good cheer)
might be a good place to start.

The Birth of a Sage? Circumstance.
Real change? Defining.

Justice, relationships, good conduct and intent
determining, stabilizing, establishing and resolving
refreshed aims, standard, criteria, integrity and temperance?

Giving birth
to the propitious, efficacious, favourable and protective.

The noble, venerable, holy or sacred?

Being born.

Backbone, spirit, integrity, drive, ambition and temperance?

The aim, standard and criterion –
bindu (बिंदु [the optimal potential in each emerging moment]).

Reform?

True, genuine and honest
intent, good conduct, relationships and justice.

Christmas?

A celebration.

The optimal potential?

Renewal, explanation, action, clarity,
precision, deciding, expressing our essential nature
and sharp demarcation of outer limits.
