Honestly, I’ve never been a holiday cheer kind of person. Yet, here we are in December—already, and I’m kinda feeling it this year. Don’t know why. Maybe it’s the world gone mad making me yearn for a break in the psychotics. A little hope and happiness rearing its head amidst despair and sadness. I try not to let the troubles of the world disrupt my live in the moment philosophy, but I think we can all agree that the past years have been shitty. For many different reasons. Nothing wrong with spreading a little joy. Tis the season and all that jazz.

Anyway, enough about me feeling festive, to the business at hand. Below is the lineup for December. Manuscript submissions are CLOSED, will reopen in 2022.

Love it or hate it, Christmas is drawing near, and “it’s the most wonderful time of the year.” The notion that we’re supposed to be coming together and celebrating the birth of Jesus with our families seems to be less and less important to people, and they’re more worried about the presents they’ll get for themselves and others. The Times They Are A-Changin, but lets also not forget that it actually evolved from pagan traditions celebrating the winter solstice. Hell, the holiday cards some people send out still say “Yuletide Greetings.” Plus, that image of the jolly bearded fat guy in the red suit we all loved in our youth because we thought he brought us presents was invented by Coca-Cola. A lot of it is a sham, but hey, even I have a few good Christmas memories. So, with that being said, in whatever way you celebrate this time of the year have fun and spread the love. Be good to one another.
