Walking Away From Cancer
As long as this journey has been
There is a lot of inertia
Walking away from death
It is a slow process
It is a slow crawl
Patience has been worn
& it’s too fucking easy
Just to lay down in the recliner
In front of the tv & die there
Who would blame you if you did
This journey is hard
& requires the will to live

A powerful poem. I have had many people around me deal with cancer, some winning, some losing, the struggle, the war. This reaches me.
I’ve had several around me deal with it as well. Many of them family. This poem reached me, too, brother Knight. Glad you dig it.
