THE DAY WENT ON AND ON
I wanted to see her
but she didn’t respond to my call
I laid in bed
listened to Leonard Cohen
watched the walls turn puke yellow
held on to the hope
that there would be some way
some how
we could be together
I was pining
wasting
my life
for her
and she was worth it
