Rate my pain
on a scale of 1 to 10,
with a happiest
smiley face
your muscles
could spasm
to the farthest left,
and the worst
possible pain’s
sweaty, red face,
to the furthest right
was the office’s mirror.
Literally Me
He is literally me.
The bad guy on the screen
is my
metaphorical autobiography.
I am the inspiration for
the antisocial antihero
created on the page or
projected on big screens,
the black hat cowboy
riding a black mustang
into the lawless wild west,
the organized crime boss
relaxing in his mansion
built on cartel cocaine,
the terrorist revolutionary
inciting riotous flash mobs
and an assassin’s bullet,
the serial killer shooter
praised as this sickly
society’s viral superstar,
he is literally me.
