Yield

When I direct you to gag me,
it’s not because I don’t have anything to say.
Words fountain out of me like it’s peak tourist season.
I’m an oddity captured in the papers.
I garble on my own excreta
as it recycles and clogs the filters.
Please, break the serial crimes
I inflict upon myself.
I surrender.
