One Small step for a man
The Cause of Death
is multiple fractures
of the body
when he leaped
from the 15th floor of
the Republic National
Life Building,
I guess he was
having a bad day,
and wanted everyone
else to know he was too
census records state
that he was working
as a tax attorney
driving his mid-
century car to
one of
the tallest buildings
in Dallas,
which included a tower
that held a beacon
Visible up to
120 Miles
gold curtains
in the executive
washrooms,
a full time
gardener,
air conditioning,
the fastest
elevators,
A lobby of
gold leaf
imported marble
from Italy
and Peru
which he walks
into every morning
nodding to
his fellow humans
as they fold
themselves into
the elevator
He keeps a
weather anecdote
ready,
right
on the tip
of his tongue
